Stephen A. Bilbrey, DVM, MS,

Dr. Stephen Bilbrey received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 1985, after earning a Master of Science degree.

Upon graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Bilbrey completed an internship in small animal medicine, surgery and emergency medicine at the West Los Angeles Veterinary Medical Group --
where he received an award as Intern Of The Year.

In 1991, following completion of a three-year surgical residency at the Ohio State University, Dr. Bilbrey passed the board certification examination and was awarded the title of Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Dr. Bilbrey has received awards for academics and teaching, and has authored numerous veterinary surgery publications. His special interests include thoracic, abdominal, oncologic, plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Bilbrey joined Animal Specialty Group in 1991.

He resides in Moorpark with his wife, Mary, who is also a board certified veterinary surgeon -- and their two golden retrievers and two cats.
