New Clients and Patients
Most of Animal Specialty Group’s clients and patients are referred from family veterinarians who have already examined a pet with a potential surgical or medical problem. With the exception of emergencies, all patients are seen by appointment. To make an appointment, please call (818) 244-7977 between the hours of 7:30 am and 9:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am through 5:00 pm Saturday. Emergencies take precedence, but appointments are seen at their scheduled times.
Checklist of what to bring with you:
- If you are a new client then fill out and bring a New Client Information Sheet
- Summary of your pe's condition from your referring veterinarian
- Current laboratory reports or blood work
- Copy of biopsy reports
- A list of all medications your pet is currently being given
- A list of your pet's current and previous major health problems
- Any pertinent information from your current veterinarian or any other that your pet has seen in the past relative to the problems that you seek assistance for.
Please call if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
If diagnostic tests or surgery is a possible consideration, food should be withheld after 9 pm the evening prior to your scheduled appointment day .
How to refill your pet's prescriptions:
To increase our service to you and to improve the availability of your pet's prescription diet and/or medication, Animal Specialty Group is using VetCentric as its central pharmacy to provide home delivery of veterinary prescription products. We will be happy to place an order with VetCentric for the medication and/or diet. You should receive it in about 3 days (up to 7 days for prescription diets).
