Dr. Kirk Wendelburg received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 1982. He then completed a one-year internship followed by a three-year small animal surgery residency at the Ohio State University.

Dr. Stephen Bilbrey received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 1985, after earning a Master of Science degree.

Dr. Huber received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1993 from Purdue University.
After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Huber pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Minnesota and
Auburn University.

Dr. Chaplow received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2001 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Following graduation, she completed a one-year rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City.

Dr. Schulman received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University Of California at Davis, School Of Veterinary Medicine in 1994.
Following veterinary school, she completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Kimberly Winters received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.
Dr. Winters completed a one-year rotating internship at Angell Memorial West in Springfield, MA. She continued her training by completing a residency in small animal internal medicine at Tufts University and achieved board certification in 2006.
Neurology:

Dr. Sullivan received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.
She moved to Auburn University for her internship, followed by a residency in neurology and neurosurgery at the University of Georgia.
Dr. Sullivan became a Diplomate of the ACVIM (Neurology) in 1998 and went into private referral practice in New England.
Radiology:

Dr. John Amann received his Ph.D. in 1971 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1976 from Cornell University.
He practiced small and large animal medicine in upstate New York and Pennsylvania for five years. In 1981, he joined the faculty at the University of Missouri Department of Veterinary Biomedical Science, where he taught small animal anatomy and neuroanatomy.
While on sabbatical in 1996, he started training in veterinary radiology at the UMC Department of Medicine and Surgery.
Oncology:

Practice Limited to Medical Oncology and Radiation Consultation and Referral
Dr. Blake received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.
After finishing a medical oncology residency in 1999 through the Animal Medical Center in New York and Colorado State University, she followed up with a residency in radiation therapy in conjunction with Colorado State University, VCA, and the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Blake worked in private specialty practice for several years in Los Angeles and Orange Counties prior to joining Animal Specialty Group in the summer of 2007.

Dr. Young received his his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.
Following veterinary school, he completed a one-year rotating medicine and surgery internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. He stayed on at AMC to complete his dual residency in Emergency and Critical Care and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Andreas Andreou received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Dr. Andreou then completed a one-year rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan, where he also worked as a licensed veterinary technician from 1998 to 2001.
In addition to his studies at Cornell, Dr. Andreou graduated Cum Laude from Mercy College with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Dr. Emily Coddon received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 2007 after completing her clinical year at the University of Minnesota.
Furthering her education, she completed a one-year rotating internship here at Animal Specialty Group where she particularly enjoyed emergency medicine. We are pleased she chose to stay on as a Staff Emergency Clinician and devote her talents to this important specialty department.

Dr. Joanne Bak earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine graduating with Honors in 1996.
Dr. Bak then completed a one-year rotating intership in small animal medicine and surgery here at Animal Specialty Group.
Dr. Bak practiced general medicine and surgery in Los Angeles for over ten years and developed a special interest in feline and canine geriatric medicine, acupuncture, and physical rehabilitation.
