For more than 20 years, Animal Specialty Group has been the specialty center of choice for veterinarians and pet owners in southern California, because they know we can help. Every day our specialists, veterinarians, technicians and staff work together, applying their knowledge, experience, skills and love of animals to the care of seriously ill and injured pets.
At ASG we have specialists from 7 different disciplines, who use state-of-the-art equipment and their leading expertise to provide cutting-edge treatment. This dedicated team of board-certified and residency-trained specialists is committed to serving our entire veterinary community. This means combining the most advanced care with unparalleled bedside manners to provide the highest quality, compassionate care available for our patients. It means treating pet parents with understanding and respect. It also means working as a partner with our referring veterinarians, offering consultations, opinions, and advice when asked, accepting cases on a referral basis, and providing educational seminars.
Animal Specialty Group has been consistently recognized for our innovation and commitment to advancing veterinary medical and surgical options. As leaders in advanced technology, we have embraced our obligation to teach other veterinarians, through regular continuing education seminars, as well as a residency program that provides the focused training veterinarians need to become board-certified specialists.

We are not several different specialty practices sharing one roof; we are a single practice of specialists, freely consulting and working together along with referring veterinarians to solve difficult cases. Our patients deserve nothing less than this comprehensive, collaborative care.
Teaching Hospital: The demand for veterinary specialty services has skyrocketed with advancements in medical technology and a growing recognition of pets as full-fledged family members. To help meet this demand, Animal Specialty Group offers a residency program in conjunction with various Colleges of Veterinary Medicine. This residency program has provided and continues to provide the focused, specialized training needed to prepare graduate veterinarians for board-certification and specialty practice. We are proud that some have elected to stay here at ASG after their certification, to help maintain this important tradition of service to veterinary medicine.
Innovation: Imagination and ingenuity are the forces that drive human and veterinary medicine forward. We take advantage of the constant rate of material and computer technology advancement, always looking for ways to improve current therapies, or develop completely new, novel solutions. With specialists from different fields working side-by-side to solve the problem, anything is possible.
Wildlife + Zoos: Working together to improve animal health is what we do, not only inside, but also outside of our hospital. We support various rescue groups and animal shelters in their effort to turn homeless pets into cherished family members.
